How Instrumetriq handles information in relation to the website and datasets.

Last Updated: July 19, 2026

1. Overview

Instrumetriq is a research-focused data provider. We design our systems to minimize the collection and handling of personal information.

Instrumetriq does not operate user accounts and does not maintain a user database.

This policy explains how information is handled in relation to the Instrumetriq website, the datasets, and the services offered on the Services page.

2. Website Usage

Browsing the Instrumetriq website does not require a user account or a login. The dataset, research, and pulse pages can be read without providing any personal information.

Instrumetriq receives personal information only when you choose to send it: by emailing us, or by submitting the form on the Services or Contact page. Section 8 describes what happens to email, and section 9 describes what happens to a form submission.

Basic technical information (such as page requests) may be processed by our hosting and content delivery providers as part of normal website operation. Instrumetriq does not build user profiles or track individual visitors.

3. Analytics

Instrumetriq does not use cookies or user-level tracking technologies.

If aggregate traffic measurement is enabled in the future, it will be limited to high-level, anonymous usage statistics intended to understand overall site activity, not individual behavior.

4. Dataset and Public Data

Instrumetriq datasets are derived from publicly available sources, including public market data and public social media content.

The datasets do not include:

  • usernames
  • user IDs
  • tweet IDs
  • raw social media posts
  • private or restricted content

Stored records focus on transformed signals, timestamps, and aggregated metrics. Instrumetriq does not attempt to identify, profile, or track individuals.

5. Downloads and Access Tokens

Dataset downloads are controlled through access tokens issued by Instrumetriq.

These tokens are used solely to manage dataset access and do not identify individual users. Instrumetriq does not associate download activity with personal identities.

6. Payments and Third-Party Services

Instrumetriq does not process payments directly.

All subscriptions and payments are handled by Patreon, which processes personal and payment information under its own privacy policy.

Instrumetriq also relies on third-party infrastructure providers (such as hosting and content delivery services) to operate the website and distribute files.

7. Data Retention and Security

Instrumetriq retains only the minimal operational data necessary to provide access to the service and maintain system integrity.

Dataset access is provided through rolling historical windows, as described on the Access page. Older data may become unavailable as retention windows advance.

8. Contacting Instrumetriq

If you contact Instrumetriq by email, we receive your email address, any name you include, and the content of your message. We use it to answer your inquiry and, if you go on to order work, to carry out that order. For an inquiry about paid work, this handling covers the steps taken before entering a contract at your request.

Your message is held in our email provider's systems and is readable by the operator of Instrumetriq. We do not copy it into a separate database, do not use it for marketing, and do not share it with anyone beyond the providers described in this policy.

Messages are kept for as long as the inquiry or the resulting project is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards for records. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time by writing to the address on the Contact page.

9. Order and Contact Forms

The forms on the Services and Contact pages ask for your email address, an optional name, and a description of what you want built or want to ask about. We use this to answer your inquiry and to carry out the order if you place one. For an inquiry about paid work, this handling covers the steps taken before entering a contract at your request.

A submission is received by Cloudflare, which hosts this website, and is then passed to two places: a copy is sent to our contact inbox by email through Resend, and a short notification is sent to the operator of Instrumetriq through Telegram so that a request is not missed. Telegram is operated outside the European Union, so submitting the form transfers your message outside the EU. If you would rather not use that route, email the address on this page instead; email is handled as described in section 8.

Resend also delivers a confirmation to the address you provide, repeating what you submitted so that you have your own copy. It is sent once, in response to your submission, and you are not added to any mailing list.

A submission is kept for as long as the inquiry or the resulting project is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards for records. It is not used for marketing and is not shared beyond the providers named in this policy. You can ask us to delete it at any time by writing to the address on the Contact page.
